City Of Glass Deleted Scene Week

Cassandra is sure giving us all sorts of goodies this week!! This is the third deleted scene she's treated us with this week!! This one is of Jocelyn and The Clave speaking about Clary marking all the Shadowhunters.

“I’m not sure that this is a good idea,” Malachi said. He was
tight-lipped, but then he was always tight-lipped, Clary thought. She
wondered if he had another expression. “There are a lot of people in
this city who still don’t like you very much, Jocelyn.”
Clary’s mother had her arms folded across her chest and was matching
Malachi glare for glare. It somewhat reminded Clary of the time her
mother had stared down the school principal who hadn’t wanted to let
her rearrange her schedule to take elective art classes, but more so.
“I would hardly call you universally beloved by the people either,
Malachi,” Jocelyn said in a voice like ice water.
“I see time hasn’t chastened you or mellowed your rebellious
attitudes.” Malachi’s voice was just as cold. “Somehow, I’m not
surprised.”
“Enough sniping.” Robert Lightwood strode up the stairs. “Do you see
all these people?” He threw an arm out, indicating the square below,
which was packed wall to wall with Shadowhunters, some of them
spilling out into nearby streets. Occasional sparks of witchlight
showed their faces in intermittent flashes, as if dozens of cameras
were going off at once. The sheer number of them terrified Clary, and
some part of her — some small part, of which she was somewhat ashamed
— had to admit that she was glad that her mother was here. “They’re
all waiting for the Marks they’ve been promised. They’re all eager to
get to the lake and protect it. The Downworlders are already there,
waiting for us. The Portal is ready. We have to start Marking our
fighters, now.”
“Just because this is a time of crisis doesn’t mean the Clave can
ignore the fact that Jocelyn Morgenstern has repeatedly broken the
Law, stolen a Mortal Instrument —”
